What a night for football fans, and what a privilege it was for EatClub to be the official food and drink app partner for the Sydney FC v Wrexham AFC friendly at Allianz Stadium on Tuesday, July 15, 2025! The atmosphere was electric, and we were thrilled to be part of such a highly anticipated event. If you were watching closely, you would have spotted our EatClub logo proudly displayed on the back left leg of the Sydney FC uniform – a true highlight for us!

We love treating our loyal EatClub members, and this match was no exception! We were excited to give away tickets to the game, including two coveted VIP passes, ensuring some of our biggest fans had an unforgettable experience.

The match itself was a nail-biter! Both teams put on an incredible show, but in the end, the Sky Blues clinched a thrilling 2-1 victory against the international visitors. The stadium erupted when the winning goal was scored by none other than 18-year-old Joe Lacey.

Talk about a meteoric rise! Just last week, Joe was playing in front of a couple of hundred people. This week? He's scoring the game-winner in an internationally televised match in front of a 40,000-strong crowd at Allianz Stadium! What an incredible moment for the young talent. In a truly unique twist, his aunt even works as a paramedic for the Wrexham team! 

After such a monumental win, Joe and his Sydney FC teammates celebrated the victory with a well-deserved meal in Manly, courtesy of EatClub. We were delighted to help them refuel and celebrate their fantastic performance.
